The first Carson Scholars Reading Room opening in DC took place at the Friendship Southeast Elementary Academy today. The reading room was made possible by all the generous donations and fundraisers held by Navigant Consulting. Ben Carson, Jr.did the remarks for the reading room. I was touched by the children that were so happy and enthusiastic to be a part of the ribbon cutting ceremony.
